In the end, I feel that Saints Row 2 is a refreshing change from the serious aspects of other games.
In Saints Row 2, there are countless things to do away from the main story that keep the game fresh, making it worth turning it on for just a few minutes. I find that with every sandbox game-a game where you can go where ever you want, when ever-I can’t help but goof around in between main story missions. In addition, you can put multiple heads together, creating endless activities. The on-line part of Saints Row 2 offers many ways to conjure up some fun all on your own. The multiplayer is chalked full of on-line enjoyment. Then again, Saints Row 2 does allow you to steal UFOs. Every time you get into a car, you feel like you’ve warped back in time to play a half-assed arcade racer. My huge beef with Saints Row 2 is the driving this completely murders the realistic experience. The gameplay is fairly smooth, with little time spent loading, and features easy-to-grasp controls. Saints Row 2 strays from GTA IV’s dirty, dark, and dreary colour palette instead, they place their own touch on the colours and design. On top of your character, you can customize your gang members, club house, and even the cars your homies drive. Unlike GTA, Saints Row 2 allows you to fully customize your character right down to his or her smarmy English accent. After the blockbuster release of Grand Theft Auto IV last spring, I found everything in Saints Row 2 very refreshing. Unlike some of you, I disliked the first Saints Row because it was easily boring and rarely innovative. Saints Row 2 (THQ PC, PS3, Xbox 360 rated mature) surprised me with its own twists on gameplay that’s the hallmark of the GTA series, such as car robbing, contract killing, and sheer unadulterated violence. The second instalment of the Saints Row series builds on its satirically entertaining predecessor. The Grand Theft Auto series approaches such games from a more serious viewpoint the Saints Row series shows a lighter side of mass murder and gang violence. The Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto series contain similar premises and gameplay but have different feels.
When I set out to play Saints Row 2, I knew it would be a silly interpretation of the Grand Theft Auto series.
